The Australian Bush Christmas Co.® is a small family business, which grew out of a Macadamia farm based near Byron Bay in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales . We revive and adapt old country-style recipes for the Gourmet market, using premium Australian produce from all over the continent.
We began by selling our Christmas Cakes at Farmers' Produce Markets in 2000, the year of the Sydney Olympics. With so many visitors from all over the world in Australia at that time, we made a lot of friends who have been loyal customers ever since.
Since then we have sent cakes to every state in Australia and to over 32 countries around the world: including England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, China, Italy, Germany, France, Egypt, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland, South Africa, India, Fiji, Western Samoa, Romania, Latvia, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Malaysia, Nepal, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Our cakes have been a part of Christmas celebrations held on sunny Australian beaches, on the icy slopes of Mount Everest , under the English Channel and in the shadow of the Pyramids.
We now also make a unique Ginger Cake, Macadamia Nut Shortbread and a Savoury Cheese Biscuit that has an addicted following in our own household. We will continue to increase our range, but slowly.
We want to get it right and we don't want to grow too fast.
